Going to take a run at my first movie post. You're not going to hear me spewing negative reviews of new movies, because why would we waste time reading something people tell us we shouldn't see. Nah, i'll just share a couple words on a movie every now-and-again that I think you'd enjoy.
Dead Poets Society evokes the same feeling that Harry Potter gave every 12 year old - the feeling that your middle/high school experience paled in comparison to everyone else's. It will inspire you to be the romantic you tell yourself you are, and you'll probably take a whack at writing some poetry afterwards. Good for you. More than anything else though, Dead Poets Society is a triumph if nothing else in its ability to wake you up from your daze and live Keating's mantra of Carpe Diem: Seize the Day. If you like to leave your movies taking something, it's a must watch. Go make your lives extraordinary.
