Good Will Hunting follows a 20 year old genius boy, Will Hunting (Matt Damon) from South Boston who spends his days as a janitor at MIT and hangs out at the bars with his buddies in his free time. Inside his genius is a man equally disturbed by past abandonment as he is gifted, inspiring a mad mathematician to help him channel his potential. Robin Williams plays his mentor/psychologist, picking up Best Supporting Actor for his work. Along with Damon, Affleck brothers Ben and Casey star as Will's take-a-bat-to-your-enemy's-head friends. Good Will Hunting is equal parts hilarious, compelling, and original - easily one of my favorite movies of all time. Good Will Hunting is written by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, and earned them Best Original Screenplay, launching them to the acclaim they hold today. Absolutely go see it.
